8 days to live
watched the above-titled movie on TV yesterday, and despite it being sort of a budget film, i thought the acting and scene-progression were really good.
a movie about a family and their son, who goes missing in Canada during a harsh winter. he’s given 8 days to live, according to survival experts. a very moving film, especially so as it was based on a true-story (and fictionalized for dramatic effect).
i honestly believe there is nothing else worse than having a loved one go missing, without a trace. the closest thing i’ve experienced to such a loss would be that one occasion where my dog ran away and wasn’t found for a whole night.
it was horrible, my family was absolutely gutted. thankfully he was a spotted by a kind man that recognized our dog from his evening jogs.
back to my point; losing a loved one - horrible. i would not even use that as a curse on my greatest enemy.
